The Burmester B38 floorstanding speaker is considered an upgraded version of the B18, a very popular and successful floorstanding speaker from the company. While sharing similar design, appearance, and sound with the B18, the Burmester B38 boasts a larger and more complex configuration, enhancing performance and sound quality, allowing it to be well-suited for even large listening rooms. The Burmester B38 floorstanding speaker is also considered a model of high-end speakers with the ability to optimally reproduce sound from both digital and analog sources. Technically, the Burmester B38 is built as a large, three-way floorstanding speaker. The speaker is equipped with three drivers: a large 320mm woofer dedicated to bass and sub-bass, a 170mm midrange driver, and a tweeter for high frequencies (treble). The tweeter used is an AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter, redesigned by Burmester to be a ring radiator tweeter.
