MARA-GONE: Bungie's Gamble was a SPECTACULAR BACKFIRE!

Marathon's biggest issue isn't attracting players anymore. It's keeping them. Both Sunday and Monday saw more than 2,000 fewer concurrent players compared to the same days just one week earlier, continuing a troubling trend for Bungie's newest live service shooter. The game has struggled with player retention since launch, and every passing week raises more questions about its long-term future. While Bungie is preparing its July 21 update with the new Vault Breaker PvE mode and additional progression systems, the player base continues to shrink. If players don't start returning and sticking around, Marathon's chances of surviving through the end of the year become increasingly uncertain.
