It took me 2.5 years and 108,000,000 micro-hatchings to create this artwork. Title: De Natura Universi (About The Universe) Charcoal and Graphite on paper 250 x 250 cm 2019 http://www.emanueledascanio.org Facebook   / emanueledascanioitalianpainterartist   INSTAGRAM   / emanuele_dascanio   With support of IBEX Collection I release my Masterpiece n. 1, titled "De Natura Universi" - 250cm x 250cm made with around 110.000.000 micro-hatching (i calculated it, yes!) of charcoal and graphite which took shape in all these years of passionate readings between "De Rerum Natura" by Tito Lucrezio Caro and the apex of contemporary scientific thought in "The Order of Time" by Carlo Rovelli and many other incredible amount of cultural material. That's was my journey when around 5 year ago IBEX Collection come to visit me in my studio and I took the responsibility to create for him something that represents for me the magnitude of the personal innovation that I had been called to undertake. Indeed, this trip has literally changed me. I wanted to talk about the static dance of events and universality, now I am honored to show it to all of you. It's only when my artworks are reflected in your eyes, then they have their full value.
