We perform a multiple discriminant analysis and examine its differences with two-group discriminant analysis (also known as simple discriminant analysis). Discriminant analysis is a statistical procedure used to characterize consumer groups when the groups they belong to are known. The dependent variable (criterion) is categorical, and the independent variables (predictive) are metrics.
