Learn modes the right way! (think beyond scale shapes)

Today I will be demistifying modes! Modes are not just scale shapes but rather a powerful tool to create sophisticated melody and harmony. In this lesson, I will be looking at the seven modes of the major scale. I will show you what modes really are and how we can use them to create more interesting melodies that can actually shape the harmony of a song. You will come away from this lesson with a better understanding of how melody relates to harmony. This way, you can advance from the intermediate guitarist trap of just thinking about what shape to play over a chord and finally make the most of modes when playing guitar.
