The remains arrived at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, on Wednesday (July 22, 2026). Several officials were present to greet the arrival of the remains, including US President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine. They paid their respects as the caskets were moved from the aircraft to the vehicle. The four soldiers killed were First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan (25) and Private Isabella Gonzales (19). Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad (28) and Sergeant Michael Emmanuel Swinton (30). Feehan and Gonzales were killed in separate attacks suspected to have been carried out by Iran at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Meanwhile, Rampersad was initially reported missing after the attack before being found dead. Swinton was then killed at Erbil Air Base in northern Iraq during a controlled explosion of a downed Iranian drone. Trump called the victims great heroes and acknowledged that overseeing the funeral service was his most difficult task as president.
