I begin my journey by taking a ferry from the mainland to Hong Kong Island, where I encounter giant skyscrapers, bustling streets, luxury shops, and an organized chaos that seems to function perfectly. As I walk through the streets, I show what daily life is like for people, the cars, the modern shop windows, and the unique architecture that blends Chinese past with British heritage. I enter an alley full of popular little shops — very reminiscent of the 25 de Março street market in Brazil — and comment on the curious cultural differences. Then, I take a break to try a typical Asian dish: pork dumplings with cabbage and noodles, a true explosion of flavor! 🍜 Next, I visit a traditional temple, where I talk about the beauty of Chinese architecture and the contrast between spirituality and modernity. Further on, I take the historic tram — a British legacy that still circulates in Hong Kong — and head to the city center, where a local resident approaches me, curious about my work as an influencer. I take the opportunity to interview him and understand what Hong Kong residents think about China, and whether it really makes sense to "go back to being China."
