I Quadroni di san Carlo nel Duomo di Milano

The Quadroni of Saint Charles in Milan Cathedral As the liturgical feast of Saint Charles Borromeo approaches, large canvases (the Quadroni) are installed between the pillars of the Cathedral, illustrating the life and miracles of the co-patron saint of the Diocese of Milan. The first paintings date back to 1602, when Saint Charles was beatified. Then, with his canonization, a second series was added, and then others, for a total of 56. Created by great painters such as Cerano, but also by a host of lesser-known but effective artists, such as the Fiammenghini family, Duchino, Carlo Buzzi, and others. We discuss them in Milano7 Avvenire and in this video. ___________________ ➨ Direct link to the article: https://www.chiesadimilano.it/ ___________________ Follow ChiesadiMilano at: https://www.chiesadimilano.it/ ➤ Facebook:   / chiesadimilano.it   ➤ Instagram:   / chiesadimilano   ➤ Twitter:   / chiesadimilano
