This film has journeyed across Greece and abroad over the past two years and has recently received an award at the Nafplio Film Festival. Diakos is a feature film shot over a period of six months on the mountains of Greece with the participation of over 300 amateur actors, workers, seamstresses and crew. The script is based on the true events of a dark historical period, during which the subjugated Nation of the Greeks went through unimaginable trials! Aiming to present Diakos' life, we have chosen key moments of his exceptional life, highlighting the many aspects of his character and soul! The Hero-Martyr Diakos - fought like a Hero, died like a Martyr - justly holds one of the most enviable positions in the hearts of the Greeks! He was the inspiration of the Greek fighters of 1821, the Liberators of Immortal Greece!
