'Got bored! Carving tools out & a guitar gets a Facelift!'

Welcome to CRIMSON GUITARS HQ https://www.crimsonguitars.com/ In this video from https.www.crimsonguitars.com Ben, having grown disillusioned with the standard finishes and techniques so often used in Custom guitar building, Goes To Town with a variety of carving tools. He plays with everything from a modern rotary grinder, more often seen in jewellers or dentists workshops, to a pair of gouge from the 18th century. The designs carving into this version of his bog oak and gold leaf guitar ( please insert link here) were inspired by Ben's love of vintage Japanese ceramics in general but finally sparked off an image of work from a fantastic Bridport based iron Smith Alex poll.   / alexpoleironwork   After having thoroughly enjoyed the process of carving the top of this guitar Ben is looking forward to experimenting with a few interesting finishing techniques in the next video.
