Pembuatan Barong Bangkung

Barong Bangkung is also called Barong Bangkal which means a large, old pig, therefore this Barong resembles a bangkal or benchung. Barong Bangkung is part of the traditional Balinese barong performance art called Ngelawang/malelawang (mala = letuh, lawang = yard entrance) which is dominated by children to enliven the atmosphere of Hindu holidays in Bali. This performance is usually held from the Galungan holiday until before the Kuningan holiday which is staged in several villages in Bali.
