Danger of brutal 40 °C heat as Britain prepares for weather chaos

A red extreme heat warning has come into effect across parts of the UK, with temperatures soaring to dangerous levels. Hundreds of schools have at least partially closed, and many businesses are telling staff to stay home. As these heatwaves become more frequent, should there be a legal maximum temperature that determines whether school and work are called off? Radio DJ Alex Mansuroglu said kids' health is the number one priority, but broadcaster Daisy McAndrew said a blanket max temperature is too simplistic.
