Replacing a rotary with 10 Lely robots for a 500 cow herd
Colin Laird had been milking in a rotary for 20 years and decided to make the change to a robotic milking system, installing 10 Lely Astronaut A5's. The change has seen a 50% reduction in staff numbers on the farm while milk yield has also increased since moving to robots.
