Borkum - The Unexpected Discovery (2022)

Wadden Island Borkum - it is amazing to visit the island 'Borkum'. It is one of the eight inhabited islands of the Germany. Borkum, Juist, Norderney, Baltrum, Langeoog, Spiekeroog, Wangerooge, Mellum. The island is located above the Netherlands, but somehow belongs to German. I personally loved to visit this well organized island with it's variety of transport, nature, history and nature. It is accessible for old and young and relatively small. The ship leaves from the Eemshaven or a Seaport in the province Groningen, The Netherlands. After a one hour journey, passing various beautiful and really big ships, you arrive in the lovely seaport on Borkum. From the Seaport it's stil a 15 minute (7,5km) drive with the local train (Borkumer Kleinbahn) to the main municipality 'Borkum'.
