Why we chose a slow life in the mountains | Farming with our donkey
Welcome to “On a Hill Faraway”! ⛰️🌱 The day here at our alpine pasture begins with a walk through our garden. I plant leeks and water the vegetable plants. I’ve gathered a lot of fresh herbs and laid them out to dry in the mountain hut. Then, my husband and I head to our potato field with our donkey, Jontschi. We use a plow to mound up the soil around the potatoes. We live in the Austrian Alps – in seclusion, far away from noise and stress. We like it peaceful and slow. We grow our own food and live off the plants from our immediate surroundings, such as mushrooms and herbs. Here we share our simple but happy life. 🏔️ Subscribe to On a Hill Faraway: / @onahillfaraway ❤️ If this episode touched you, please leave a comment for Sigmund and Magdalena.
