В Нестерове полицейские задержали мужчину, разгромившего продуктовый магазин

Police officers in the Nesterovsky District Department detained a suspect in the intentional destruction of property and robbery. Police discovered that the 35-year-old man, who had previously been convicted, committed these crimes to obtain alcohol, according to Svetlana Postavnichaya, head of the press service for the Kaliningrad Region Ministry of Internal Affairs. Store employees refused to sell alcohol to the perpetrator, citing a ban on retail sales at night and in the evening, which provoked the customer into a heightened state of anger. The man first began insulting the women, then began smashing display cases and scattering products across the floor. The unruly customer ignored repeated demands to leave the store. He only fled after taking what he wanted from the shelf. "It took incredible patience for the sales staff to calm the enraged customer, who was brazenly demanding alcohol at night. But the suspect only left the store after he had taken what he wanted from the shelf." A patrol squad not only located the young man but also called an ambulance for him due to cuts in the store, and only then brought him to the investigator. The detainee is currently charged with two serious offenses under the Criminal Code, one of which is "robbery," reported Svetlana Postavnichaya, head of the press service for the Kaliningrad Region Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. After the police received the report, an investigative team and patrol squads immediately arrived at the scene and quickly located the perpetrator. Police called an ambulance for the detainee, as he had cut himself on shards of glass, and then took him to the police station. Investigators have opened criminal cases against the suspect under Articles 167 of the Russian Criminal Code "Intentional Destruction of Property" and Article 161 of the Russian Criminal Code "Robbery." In addition to a possible four-year prison sentence, the detainee will also be required to pay compensation for the material and moral damages he caused to the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
