You are an ocean of compassion. ---- श्रितजन परिपाल सदमल शुभकर श्रितजन = those who seek refuge. O Vidyadhisha tirtha, You are protector of those who seek refuge under You. You are blemishless. You are giver of auspiciousness. नत-जन मन-तोष सुखकर You provide delight to the minds of devotees who bow down to You. You are provider of happiness. ---- माधव-प्रिय परमहंस पावन चरित O Vidyadhisha Tirtha, You are loved by Lord Maadhava (You love Maadhava). You are Paramhamsa. (You are the sage in the lineage of Lord Hamsa and Madhva). Your pastimes/activities are pure. (Listening to Your holy activities, makes us pure) विद्याधिराज यति करसंजात || You are born out of the hands of Vidyadhiraja Tirtha (You are disciple of Sri Vidyadhiraja) ------ रति-पति-पित-दास-सेवक बुधवर रति-पति = God of desire, Kaama-deva. रति-पति-पित = Lord Krishna. Kaama-deva is born to Krishna-Rukmini as Pradyumna रति-पति-पित-दास = Vayu. Lord Vayu is the daasa of Krishna, who is father of Kama-deva रति-पति-पित-दास-सेवक = Vidyadhisha Tirtha. Swamiji serves Vayu, who is daasa of Krishna, who is father of Kama-deva. There by, indicating that, Sanyasis win over the desires, as they worship Krishna, who gives birth to Kaama. बुधवर = Best among the wise O Vidyadhisha Tirtha, You are the best among the wise. You are ever-indulged in serving Vayu, who is the daasa of Lord Narayana. ------ कृति-पति-स्मृति-दात भयहर || कृति-पति = Lord Pradyumna. Lord Narayana takes the form of Pradyumna and Mahalakshmi takes the form of Kruti during srushti (creation). कृति-पति -स्मृति-दात = The one who reminds us of Lord Pradyumna and His creation. O, Vidyadhisha tirtha, through Your pravachanas, puja, and other deeds – You remind us of, the greatness of Lord Narayana, who creates, sustains, and destroys this world. भयहर = destroyer of fear. O Vidyadhisha tirtha, You are destroyer of fear in our minds, in this life! (Praising our Guru, Sri Vidyadhisha tirtha, Vayu and Lord Narayana, destroys the fears of this samsara. ) ------ मेदिनि-सुर-नुत मुनिप आगम-चतुर मेदिनि-सुर = Gods on this Earth = Brahmins. A brahmana is referred to as God on this very Earth, as Lord is present in Brahmins in a special form. मेदिनि-सुर-नुत= One who is praised by Brahmins. मुनिप = sage आगम-चतुर = One who is well-versed in aagamas/shastras O Vidyadhisha tirtha, You are well-versed in shastras. You are worshipped and praised by brahmins (especially, Gowda Saraswat Brahmins) ----- मोद विठल चरण-कमल भ्रमर मोद =Madhvacharya.
