Sunbeam 1000hp - front and rear aero engines tested

Both front and rear V12 engines of the World Land Speed Record breaker, Sunbeam 1000hp, were tested shortly after most of the bodywork was replaced. One of the final stages of restoration by the National Motor Museum workshop team led by chief engineer Ian Stanfield. The restored Sunbeam 1000hp is now on its way to the USA to feature in the Pebble Beach Concours in California in August. The car will be displayed in Los Angeles at the Petersen Automotive Museum and at the Motorsports Hall of Fame in Daytona, before centenary celebrations in March 2027 - one hundred years on since the car exceed 200 mph on Daytona Beach driven by Henry Segrave.
