Hi, it's Jiji. I honestly wasn't planning a summer vacation, but so many people around me kept asking "aren't you taking a summer trip?" that I thought, hmm, maybe I should go somewhere... and ended up booking a last-minute trip to Sapporo. I always thought Sapporo was a winter-only destination, but wow... the charm of summer Sapporo completely blew me away. After Shanghai, Sapporo (and Japan in general) turned out to be a foodie paradise too, so I spent my 4-night, 5-day trip constantly wondering "how am I ever going to fit all this food in?" and just ate and walked my way through the whole trip haha. Today's video covers my first day in Sapporo. This day was mostly just travel since I had a layover flight to get there, so I originally planned to combine it with Day 2... but there ended up being way more footage than expected, so this one's just Day 1. I filmed my honest reactions trying all those convenience store desserts everyone raves about on Instagram, plus some wandering around Sapporo's downtown on a weekend evening.
