Princess Kate Reveals Prince Louis Wants to Be a Wimbledon Ball Boy

Princess Kate received a warm welcome at Wimbledon as she arrived ahead of the 2026 ladies’ singles final at the All England Club. The Princess of Wales met players, tournament staff and the young representatives chosen to perform the coin toss before taking her seat in the Royal Box on Centre Court. One of the day’s most personal moments came during Kate’s conversation with Canadian doubles finalist Gabriela Dabrowski, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024 and continued competing during her treatment. Kate, who has undergone cancer treatment herself, praised the tennis player’s resilience and described her story as inspirational. Dabrowski later said the poignant exchange had left her unexpectedly emotional. The princess also spoke to court coverer Jenna Fontanilla and revealed that eight-year-old Prince Louis had been asking how he could become a Wimbledon ball boy. Kate later watched Czech ninth seed Linda Noskova defeat compatriot Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to win the Wimbledon ladies’ singles title. As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the princess presented Noskova with the Venus Rosewater Dish following the final.
