However, in recent Monster Hunter games, the total health of monsters changes according to the number of players, so in pair hunting, the monster's health is adjusted for two players. In other words, the difficulty doesn't increase drastically. On the other hand, there are these advantages: 1. Palicoes participate. When the number of hunters exceeds three, Palicoes do not participate, and various skills used by Palicoes become meaningless. This is where pair hunting becomes effective. 2. The chance of encountering strange hunters is less than half. In normal random online play, it's you and three other hunters, but in pair hunting, it's just you and your partner. In other words, since you usually need to gather three people, the chances of encountering hunters behaving strangely are reduced. 3. Quick Matching Continuing from point 2, in pair hunting, you only need to gather one person, so matchmaking is faster than regular random matchmaking where you need to gather three people.
