Should We Even Be Photographing This?

Semana Santa in Taxco is one of the most visually striking events I've ever photographed. Thousands of people gather in the streets as hooded penitents carry bundles of thorns, drag heavy chains, and publicly atone for their sins. It's dramatic. It's beautiful. And it raises an important question: Is faith something we should be photographing? Or is it simply exploiting people when they're vulnerable?
