There may be a few comments that could help you as you consider taking on a rosewood repair of your own, but the most important element is inspiration. You don’t need $200 rasps, expensive vices, fixtures and all that… you just need to do it. A clamp, some glue, and a small file and you’re ready to hide that unsightly chip. Well okay, maybe you won’t “hide” it, buy you can certainly improve your plane handle.
