Shinjuku to Tokyo Station | Running the South Side of the Yamanote Line (Part 2)

Join me for Part 2 of my Yamanote Line running challenge around Tokyo. Starting from Shinjuku Station, I run along the southern side of the Yamanote Line and make my way back to Tokyo Station. On this route, we pass through some of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods, including Harajuku, Shibuya, Ebisu, Shinagawa, Shimbashi, and Yurakucho. What surprised me most was how different Tokyo feels on a quiet Sunday morning. Empty streets in Shibuya, peaceful neighborhoods around Ebisu and Meguro, massive redevelopment projects near Takanawa Gateway, and finally the familiar skyline of Marunouchi as the loop comes to an end. If you’re planning a visit to Tokyo, looking for running routes, or simply curious about the city beyond the tourist spots, I hope you’ll enjoy the journey. One more mile with me. 🏃 Route: Shinjuku → Yoyogi → Harajuku → Shibuya → Ebisu → Meguro → Gotanda → Osaki → Shinagawa → Takanawa Gateway → Tamachi → Hamamatsucho → Shimbashi → Yurakucho → Tokyo Station 📍 Distance: Approximately 22 km 📍 Location: Tokyo, Japan #Tokyo #Japan #Running #TokyoRun #YamanoteLine #Shinjuku #Shibuya #TokyoStation #RunTheRisingSun #RunningRoute
