🚨 THIS is what's coming for kitchens in the next 4 years! 🚨 We traveled to Milan to explore EuroCucina 2026, the world's leading kitchen design fair, where manufacturers, designers, and brands present interior design ideas, materials, colors, and design solutions that will shape the future of our kitchens and the latest trends in interior design. But be warned: not everything you see here will end up in real homes. That's why I set out to explore every corner of the fair to find kitchen design trends, tips, and ideas that we can actually apply to our everyday kitchens. Some will surprise you... and others will surely be the talk of the town. Discover the most important kitchen trends in modern kitchens, innovative materials, state-of-the-art appliances, and design solutions that we will see arriving over the next few years. Among the new kitchen design innovations are retractable hoods for small spaces, hobs with integrated extractors, new kitchen lighting options, thick illuminated shelves, hidden laundry systems, sinks integrated into the countertop, solutions for oven and microwave towers, kitchen breakfast bars open to the living room, and new ways of working with volumes to add depth and personality to the furniture. We also analyzed some of the most recurring trends at the fair, such as the return of beige, white, and natural wood tones; the emergence of rust-colored tones as a potential star of the coming years; and the increasingly popular chocolate finishes in furniture. We also discussed the use of natural stone in kitchens and living areas, the resurgence of minimalist kitchens with extremely clean lines, new ways of integrating sinks and work areas, the interplay of volumes and varying depths in furniture, and customized appliances with new finishes and colors. During the tour we visited spaces and proposals from brands such as Whirlpool, Sirius, Novy, Nolte, NEFF, Asko, Quooker and Bora, analyzing both the ideas that seem really useful for real kitchens and those that generate more debate from a practical point of view. We also discussed one of the most frequently asked questions among kitchen designers: Is it necessary to utilize every corner of the kitchen? Are some of the systems, like the kitchen corners we see at trade shows, truly practical? Which solutions are worthwhile, and which are simply design exercises?
