Sam Riley Is In A New BBC Drama, ‘Mint’
Sam Riley, actor and singer, is best known for his performance in the 2007 biographical film Control about the life of Ian Curtis, as protagonist Sal Paradise in the 2012 adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel On the Road, and as Diaval in the 2014 film Maleficent. Here he is in conversation with Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty about the upcoming British crime drama series from Charlotte Regan for BBC One. The cast also includes Emma Laird, Lewis Gribben, Laura Fraser, Lindsay Duncan and Ben Coyle-Larner. He stars as Dylan, a Glasgow-based gangster and devoted father, in the eight-part series Mint, set to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in April 2026. Created by Charlotte Regan, the series centers on a crime family's inner life, following Riley's character and his family as their daughter falls for a rival.
