Family problems are believed to stem from unresolved issues from the past, including traumatic events or family secrets. During a family constellation, a group of people gathers, and one member is chosen to represent a member of the client's family. The constellation facilitator then works with the client and the representatives to explore family dynamics and find a resolution to the presented problems. Family constellations can be conducted in groups or individually. Furthermore, they can be applied not only to family issues but also to other areas of life, such as romantic relationships, professional life, and health issues. It is important to emphasize that family constellations are considered a complementary therapeutic approach and do not replace conventional medical or psychological treatment.
