Qui a-t-il dans le chant d’un oiseau bleu ? | Laure Slabiak (BlauBird) | TEDxVersaillesGrandParc
Driven by a multicultural sensibility, Laure Slabiak, through her band BlauBird, uses music as a mirror to reflect multiple identities and as a tool for better living together. For her, cultural roots, shaped by our experiences and encounters, complement each other in a unity rich in diversity. Through her songs, she celebrates this universal heritage, echoing Édouard Glissant's thought: all the world's languages must resonate on the grand stage of humanity. BlauBird, an artist with a deep and captivating voice, blends poetry, nocturnal melodies, and influences from around the globe. After performing Mahler, Dowland, and Schubert, she explores a more personal expression, combining folk, classical, pop, and traditional music. Her second album, Le Ciel est Partout (The Sky is Everywhere), recorded in Montreal with François Lalonde, transports us between Eastern Europe and the gardens of the Orient, in French, English, Yiddish, Arabic, and Spanish. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Catalyse Prize from the "Moustaki Prize" and a Coup de Cœur from the Charles Cros Academy. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
