This Christmas on the menu: Christmas Pork, Potato Salad and Makowiec (Polish poppy seed roll) _______________ 0:00 RECIPE 1: Christmas Pork ingredients (as shown in video) 1.7kg pork SAUCE: 6tsp salt 1tsp ground black pepper about 200ml pickle juice 1tbsp strong Estonian mustard 3tbsp honey instruction: fry pork on both sides for 2 minutes until brown place in cast iron pot pour the sauce on the pork cook in oven for 2 hours at 180C/360F serve with potato and sauerkraut 6:29 RECIPE 2: Potato Salad ingredients (as shown in video) 3tbsp mayonnaise 150g doctor's sausage 1 pickle 2 hardboiled eggs 2tbsp canned peas 3 small boiled potatoes salt to taste instruction: cut the sausage, pickle, eggs and potatoes into small pieces mix it together with peas and mayonnaise add salt to taste refrigerate, serve cold enjoy! 9:00 RECIPE 3: Makowiec ingredients (as shown in video) FILLING: 300g poppy seeds 100ml milk 1tbsp butter 6tbsp sugar 2 egg whites DOUGH: 300g flour (more if needed) pinch of salt 3tbsp sugar 3tbsp melted butter 2 egg yolks 100ml milk 25g live yeast or half packet of dry active yeast GLAZE: 5tbsp sugar (powdered if have) instruction: FILLING: grind the poppy seeds heat up milk, don't boil heat the poppy seeds in milk for 2 minutes take it off heat and while still hot, mix in butter and sugar DOUGH: separate egg yolks from eggwhites, save the eggwhite in a bowl mix the flour, salt, sugar, melted butter and egg yolks heat up milk, not too hot, but warm to touch dissolve the yeast in the milk and pour it into the dough mix the dough, adding flour as needed place dough into bowl and set to rise in warm place for 30-60mins until double in size after that roll it out into rectangle shape BACK TO FILLING: take the two eggwhites from before and whisk with pinch of salt until solid peaks form mix it into the poppy seed mix place the filling on the dough, leaving edges clean roll up the dough into roll, folding edges in place the roll on baking paper cook in oven for 45 minutes at 180C/360F GLAZE: mix the powdered/ground sugar with some juice from orange until smooth glaze forms take roll out of oven and wait to cool down until no longer hot to touch apply glaze all over the top of roll grate some orange peel on top let fully cool or serve warm right away enjoy! _______________ Send me a dollar on Patreon: / lifeofboris True Slav Merch Shop: https://www.borismerch.com/ Buy Boris Cookbook: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDHRC5Y4 Buy Roadside Midnight: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9QTB6BS intro track: • uamee - COMMIEBLOCK [HARDBASS] outro track: • No Ruski Pop - Boris vs uamee (hardbass)
