Namibia - Entspannt. | Pt. 4 | Etosha – Wundervolle Elefanten | 2024

In Etosha National Park, it is the magnificent elephants that captivate us most of all. We spot our first ones as we leave the Dolomite Resort and head toward Okaukuejo. It is a fantastic experience—thrilling every single time, especially that very first sighting of these gentle giants. We encounter more of these pachyderms at the Ozonjuitji'm'Bari waterhole, which offers expansive, unobstructed views in every direction. We arrive at Halali Camp, where we spend the night, and upon leaving the next day, we witness the most spectacular elephant sightings of our entire trip. First, a large, magnificent herd crosses the track right in front of us—a herd we later encounter again at the Homob waterhole. And then, near the Aus waterhole, a massive bull—quite contrary to our expectations—veers off his path and heads straight toward our vehicle; moving with a demeanor that is as gentle as it is peaceful, he strolls past us on the gravel road, coming within perhaps a single meter of our car. What an encounter—simply indescribable! With these incredible experiences under our belts, we arrive at Vreugde Guest Farm—our favorite accommodation in Namibia—where we will be staying for three nights. Enjoy watching!
