Tables Are Ready for Hinges But There's a Problem!

Over the past few weeks we've been sharing the process of building custom carbon fiber tables for our sailing home. Our Leopard 45 hasn't had a rear cockpit table in over a year, thanks to yet another warranty fail from Leopard Catamarans, who sent out a totally new one from the boat builder, Robertson & Caine, only for it to be covered in blisters and dry fiberglass. So far we've shaped the foam core, vacuum bagged the carbon fiber, sprayed them with gel coat and sanded them flat, so now it's time to route the hinges, the only problem..... we've never used a router and don't know where the wooden backing plates are inside the gel coat covered pieces. Boat life is all about learning new skills so with our typical "let's just do it" attitude, we figure out the puzzle to keep this custom DIY boat upgrade going. 👉 SUPPORT THE STORY TELLING ⛵ Gain access to our member only area: https://www.travelsketchsailing.com/j... 😎 Tip jar: https://buy.stripe.com/6oE8A1d9Yabj4O...
