Born & Raised As A Jehovah’s Witness: My story and why I left

My name is Sammie. I was born and raised as a Jehovah’s Witness in Los Angeles, CA. I have been out of it for a few years but the effects have lingered. Everything has felt like a domino effect and the only way I can think to stop it is by taking control and telling my story. I am not use to speaking publicly or into a camera. This was my first time telling my story out loud, so please excuse the delivery. I’ll try and do another part soon This is something I’ve been putting off for years. It was something I needed to do. It did resurface a lot. I have been struggling since making it, but I’m going to post it anyway. Because that’s what I’m all about right now: feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
