Pfugari Estate Feud: Heirs Allege Exclusion, Warn Public Over Illegal Sales #pfugari #issues

https://amasasiamasternic.wordpress.c... Pfugari Estate Feud: Heirs Allege Exclusion, Warn Public Over Illegal Sales HARARE – The sprawling US$48 million Pfugari Estate, built over six decades by late property mogul Edward Nyanyiwa Pfugari Snr, is at the centre of a bitter family dispute that heirs say risks the plunder of assets and disenfranchises female beneficiaries. The estate, which includes Whitecliffe Farm, the Knowe suburb in Norton, and the well-known Beatrice Restaurant and Butchery along the Harare-Masvingo Road, is yet to be fully distributed more than five years after Pfugari Snr’s death in 2019. At the heart of the conflict is Naume Makumbe, one of the late businessman’s four children with his first wife, Mildred Tabani Nyanyiwa. She alleges that her stepbrother, Edward Nyanyiwa Jnr, has unilaterally taken control of the family companies, sidelining the rest of the children. “My father married our mother Mildred Tabani in 1963. We are four children, Stephen Nyanyiwa, Henrietta Nyanyiwa, Itai Collier and myself, Naume Makumbe,” Makumbe said in a statement to this publication. “Our stepbrother Edward Jnr was formerly known as Bayiti Rwendlela. He only learned of his true origins in 1997 and was warmly received by the family,” Mrs Makumbe said. Full story details follow the link #pfugari #property #estate #naumemakumbe #edwardnyanyiwa
