After being exiled from the Amish church, the Lapp family had no secular experience, background, or education, and yet God chose them to start a national food distribution ministry, Blessings of Hope. This is the story of how one formerly Amish family learned to operate in the kingdom of God, so that He could open doors that no worldly credentials could hope to unlock. Today Blessings of Hope supplies millions of pounds of food to non-profits, food pantries and churches. Their response during the covid-19 pandemic earned them national attention for their output in the Farmers to Family Food Program, prompting a visit from Ivanka Trump. Since the pandemic, Blessings of Hope has shipped truckloads of food overseas to aid those affected by the war on the Ukraine. They have also supplied disaster relief for those affected by the tornadoes in Mayfield Kentucky. Today, Blessings of Hope ships out over 50 million pounds of food a year from multiple locations.
