The search took place under tight security from fully armed Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel. The search was part of an investigation into several corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases. Investigators carried several suitcases containing evidence and a money counting machine from the location to a Polda Metro Jaya operational vehicle. All evidence was then loaded into a white Elf car belonging to the Polda Metro Jaya. US Dollars, Singapore Dollars, and Rupiah Seized The Head of the National Police's Corruption Crimes Unit, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, said investigators found cash in various currencies at the de'Clan Signature Cafe. "We confiscated Rp3,130,000 in 100 SGD bills. Then there was US$889,965. Then there was Rp259,159,000 in cash. Converted into Rupiah, the total was approximately Rp60 billion. This was at the de'Clan location," Totok told reporters on Wednesday evening. At the second location, Koin Money Changer, investigators again seized dozens of pieces of evidence, including foreign currency worth approximately Rp7.2 billion. "At the Money Changer, there were 71 items of evidence, and 16 pieces of foreign currency, totaling approximately Rp7.2 billion," he said. In addition to the money, investigators also confiscated several documents suspected of being related to the case and detained several employees at both locations for investigation purposes. Corruption and Money Laundering Investigation Unit The search was conducted through a joint investigation between the National Police's Corruption Crimes Unit (Kortas Tipidkor) and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus). "The National Police, specifically the Kortas Tipidkor Polri, continues to enforce the law in cases that have received the attention of the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said Totok. According to Totok, the investigation covers allegations of corruption and money laundering in several cases, including the PLN coal case, PT Asabri, and Krakatau Steel. "Among other things, as part of the investigation process, we are currently conducting searches at several locations," he said. The Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Victor D. Mackbon, stated that the search was conducted to supplement evidence in two police reports currently under investigation. The first report relates to allegations of corruption and/or money laundering involving civil servants or state officials in the handling of the PT Asabri (Persero) and/or PT Asuransi Jiwa Jiwasraya cases from 2020–2025. The second report concerns allegations of corruption and/or money laundering (TPPU) in the settlement of PT CBS's debts or obligations to PT KNI, which allegedly involved civil servants or state officials during the same period. "Today, we are working to gather evidence at approximately eight locations where we conducted searches. In front of colleagues today, we conducted searches at two locations: Cafe De Clan and Poin Money Changer," said Victor. He added that the investigation is still ongoing, in collaboration with the National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission (Kortas Tipidkor), with support from several other police agencies.
