Advocate General for Karnataka. Dr. Sondhi is a Senior Advocate practising before the High Court of Karnataka and the Supreme Court of India. He has served as the Additional Advocate General for Karnataka from 2016 to 2018 and has been appointed amicus curiae in several matters of public importance, including the speedy disposal of criminal cases against members of parliament and state legislatures, implementation of the Right to Education Act, upkeep of infrastructure and removal of encroachments in the city of Bengaluru and health and safety of workers in coal-fired thermal power plants in the State. Aditya holds a masters in political science and was awarded his PhD by the Mysore University for his thesis on “The Interface between the Army and Democracy: India & Pakistan Compared”. He has lectured widely in India and abroad and has published two works of non-fiction with Penguin (India). He has taught constitutional law, professional ethics, corporate law and arbitration as also a single-credit course on ‘courts and national security’ at the National Law School of India University, of which he is a graduate.
