He is a Hindustani classical musician, known best for his delicate touch on the instrument, and his eloquent interpretation of each raga.Coming from a musical family, Pandit Mitta started his journey by teaching himself to play the sitar, before he met Ravi Shankar and began official tutelage under him. Ravi Shankar once described him as "my favourite student".
