One was born into a wealthy family in Italy and lived a life climbing mountains, while the other was born into a persecuted faith community in Joseon and was dragged to the execution grounds. However, within their short lives of twenty-four and twenty-five years, both lived out their love for God courageously and faithfully, leaving nothing behind. Whether the time given to us today is long or short, these two young men ask the same question: "Am I now living a life that resembles the higher realms, holiness, the joy of the Gospel, and the Beatitudes?" I look forward to seeing what kind of saint the Lord is preparing for Korea. Through World Youth Day, we can welcome those who will become future saints. And we have the opportunity to pray together with the young people of our country who will become saints in the future.
