Quantum Mechanics basics - Double Slit Experiment Explained in Hindi by Ayushkaari. Do we see reality as it is? What is really happening around at a very small level (AKA Quantum Level)? An experiment provides us a window to the Quantum World. This experiment was originally devised to determine the nature of light as waves or particles. Thomas Young, who recorded it for the first time in 1802. This came to be known as Young’s Double Slit Experiment. Nearly hundred years later, in 1927, Davisson and Germer modified it. The Double Slit Experiment was demonstrated on electrons and eventually on other subatomic particles by others. This along with Einstein’s theory of light revealed the shocking nature of things around us. This nature is known as Wave-Particle Duality. What does this mean? How weird is reality at quantum level?
