Over the past two weekends, Furteelay Shokeen, the all-male premier team from Furteelay Dance, competed at Bhangra in the Burgh and secured 1st place at the Boston Bhangra Competition! Boston Bhangra is one of the longest-running Bhangra competitions in North America, and this victory marks the 14th 1st-place award for Furteelay Dance. It was an absolute honor for Furteelay Shokeen to share the stage with so many incredible teams from across the continent at these prestigious competitions. These events not only allow us to represent our academy and the state of Michigan but also provide us with the opportunity to connect with others who share the same love and passion for our Virsa (heritage).
