BAKLAVA - La Ricetta del Dolce Turco con Pasta Fillo e Noci

How to Make Baklava, the Recipe for the Turkish Dessert Par Excellence. Discover how to make Baklava, a dessert popular throughout the Middle Eastern countries. A delicious dessert made with filo pastry (yufka in Turkish) and walnuts. The first thing we need to make is the Şerbet, or syrup. Here's how to prepare it: 1 heaped tablespoon of runny honey 350 g of sugar 400 ml of water 1 teaspoon of lemon juice Heat the water and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Stir and let it boil until the sugar has dissolved. Add the honey and let it thicken for about 20 minutes over low heat. Once the Şerbet thickens, turn off the heat and let it cool. Baklava Ingredients: 300 g peeled walnuts 100-150 g sugar 200 g melted butter 20 sheets of filo pastry (yufka) Finely chopped pistachios for garnish (optional) Blitz the walnuts in a blender and place them in a bowl. Add the sugar and mix well. Taste; if you prefer a slightly sweeter version, 100 g of sugar is fine; if you prefer a sweeter version, add more sugar. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Brush the baking pan (preferably a shallow, wide one) or cake pan with melted butter. Take the first yufka (phyllo pastry) and gently place it in the pan, brushing it with melted butter. You should do this with half of the yufka, or 10. Now sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the yufka. Cover with the remaining yufkas, buttering them one by one. Remember, brush the last yufka more generously. Let it rest for 2 minutes and then use a sharp knife to pre-cut the baklava, avoiding the bottom of the pan. You can cut into squares or diamonds. Bake for about 30 minutes at 160°C (320°F). The baklavas are done when they become crumbly and golden. Once cooked, remove them from the oven, let them cool for 15 minutes, and then pour over our Şerbet. Once the dessert is cool, you can finish cutting the baklavas and sprinkle them with finely chopped pistachios, if desired. Baklava can be paired with a fragrant Turkish black tea. For Turkish tea, you'll need a Turkish teapot and classic tea glasses, which you can find at this link: https://www.ilsalottoturco.com/catego... Afiyet olsun! Enjoy your meal!
