Inician los preparativos de la fiesta a Santa María Magdalena en Xico

With the construction of a large altar and the blessing of the items placed there—which will later be used to make mole—the people of Xico prepare for the biggest religious festival of the year, dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated from July 20 to 22. The altar, which also includes various flowers in the emblematic colors of the Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns), features a small image of Saint Mary Magdalene. This image remains in the home of the stewards for three years and is only taken to the church on the day it will be handed over to the new patrons.
