Russell Malone Remembers Wes

Russell Malone is a Downbeat Magazine Award-winning, Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist whose early work with the great organist Jimmy Smith really put him on the map. He's also toured with Ron Carter, Harry Connick, Jr., and Diana Krall. He's done session work with Brandford Marsalis and Wynton Marsalis, and for a while, was in the legendary Sonny Rollins' band. He's also a fan of Wes Montgomery. Robert Montgomery asked about his father's influence and other topics when they sat down in an iconic jazz venue in this excerpt for Further Wes Bound.
