Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt T-connector wiring harness here on the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. The only thing we're going to be able to see from this kit here is the actual trailer connector. Now there's a couple of different means of attaching this. We can purchase a series of brackets here through etrailer to permanently attach it to the hitch tube. However, we can just use the included dust cap to loop it around the safety chain loops which is going to be the most economical option. So if you're going to be towing a trailer with your Pacifica, you will need a trailer wiring harness. It's going to allow us to remain legal while we're towing out on the road letting those behind us know what we're doing. So this one here is going to be the most basic one. It has a four-pole flat connector which most trailers are going to use. However there could be certain trailers that are a little bit heavier. They have electric brakes. In that case, you're going to need a seven way. And we do offer adapters here at etrailer that allow you to use this four way with the seven way adapter for the four way flat, the basic signals. It's going to carry over the vehicle to the trailer. That's going to be the stop and turn signal circuits for both the left and right-hand side as well as the running light circuits. Now, if you have any other circuits such as a battery charge line or the electric brake output that's when we would need a seven way. So obviously towing going to be the main use for our trailer wiring harness but there are some other applications you may not be aware of, such as cargo carriers with built-in lights. We're going to be able to utilize those using the four way. So the great thing about our kit here it actually has a powered module. And what this means is it's going to draw power for the trailer lights from the vehicle's battery. So we don't have to worry about it. Drawing from the taillight circuits on the vehicle and creating any issues. Furthermore, we have the powered module but we also have integrated diodes in each circuit. And what this does is it prevents any electricity from backfeeding. Therefore we don't have to worry about any issues with the trailer wiring affecting our vehicle. So in regards to installation it is going to be plug and play. We don't have to splice into any of the vehicles wiring. Therefore there's going to be little to no modifications needed. It's definitely something I think you guys can do at home by yourselves. Let's go ahead and walk you through this process now. We need to open up our hatch here. We're going to be removing the passenger side Taillight we'll need a T30 Torx bit. There's going to be two screws inside here. and so we have those screws out. We can pull our taillight out and a way. We have one connector on the back here. See on the bottom, we have that red locking tab, press that away, depress the center, and then pull straight out. I'm going to take a piece of pole wire. We're gonna feed it down through this pocket here try to get out to come underneath. And then what we're going to do is tape our connector from our wiring harness to the pole wire and then pull it back up into the pocket here. So we've got our connectors up where we need to be inside the tail light pocket here. Now it's a pretty tight fit behind the bumper. There there's really not much room for these things. So if you want to save yourself a little bit of trouble you can actually just go ahead and cut this wire and then easily pull that one up through there. Just make sure you reattach it. Preferably using heat shrink butt connectors. Like you can see we have here. Now that we have our wire up here I can go ahead and just simply plug it into the factory taillight connector. It'll only go in one way. So now that we have our connections made we're going to go ahead and reinstall our taillight here. You may need to tuck these down back behind the bumper there in order to have room to re-install the tail light. Now that we have the taillight back in place I'm just going to re-secure it using our factory hardware. So next we'll need to go ahead and remove the driver's side tail light. We're pretty much going to be repeating a very similar process. We'll take a piece of a pole line. We're going to tuck it back behind the bumper there. And then once we route our connector over
