Paradise Garage - ROCK DREAM (1999) [Full Album]

After the release of "Jikken no Yoru, Hakken no Asa" in 1998, Toyota's major-label contract was cancelled. An official reason was never given, but the album was rumored to be plagued with money problems. One such rumor states that Toyota used an expensive and fragile condenser microphone as a hand microphone, repeatedly dropping/throwing it, causing it to break. Another rumor states that Toyota blew an advance the label gave him to shoot a music video in Bangkok. [As my Japanese skills are limited, these rumors have not been confirmed nor denied to my knowledge, nor should they be known as absolute fact.] If these factors are true, it probably took part in the label's decision to cancel the contract. Disappointed with the bombastic production styles, big studios and long recording sessions, Toyota returned to his previous styles, accompanied by the knowledge he gained from producing and recording his major-label album. Released on the then-recently founded Bumblebee Records, an independent label that released many more albums by Toyota and other performers including Daisuke Tobari, Azumi, Masahiro Naoe and Kenji Ueda. Toyota has repeatedly called the album his masterpiece. 38:49 ROCK DREAM This album is dedicated to ROCK DREAM I never have nor will monetize these videos.
