A new morning in Ethiopia. After miles of traveling from one tribe to the next, it is time to meet the most advanced of the tribes I had visited. A monarchy-ruled Konso Tribe, living in cities surrounded by thick walls, with advanced drought-resistant farming techniques. The Konso tribe is a community that still maintains the mummification tradition today. While meeting King Kala and visiting his palace, I learn about mummification methods and taste the sorghum beer fermented in wooden boats.
