Preview: Doctor Jekyll and Sister Hyde (1971)

Hammer Studios' last Jekyll and Hyde film is literally a battle of the sexes. Dr. Jekyll (Ralph Bates) thinks he developed an the elixir of life. But there are two problems. The first is that the mixture requires the harvesting of female hormones, which leads to a lot of women found dead in London. The second is when he drinks the mixture, he is transformed into Mrs. Hyde (played by the stunning Martine Beswick), a beautiful woman who not only fights Jekyll for control of his body, also relishes violence herself. So imagine a British horror that is a Jekyll and Hyde version of Victor/Victoria, and includes Burke & Hare as well as Jack the Ripper.
