Estwing Timber Titan vs Fireside Freind - the results are not what I expected #firewood #splitting
I wanted to know if getting the timber titan was worth it. I've had the Fireside friend for 6 years so I got a Titan and I compared them. There is definitely a learning curve for the Titan. I'm getting used to it and I'll keep it by the fire because I like the unique design, but from a purely utilitarian standpoint, I don't think it's worth the extra money unless there is a specific use someone has that requires striking wood and not holding it where you don't want the axe to stick in the wood... for traditional kindling cutting, the Fireside Freind costs less and is better suited for that purpose from my experience.
