This law, according to experts, is yet another absurdity concocted during the "revolution" that doesn't benefit the country and creates more questions than it answers. The discretionary allocation of royalties needs to be analyzed very carefully and doesn't guarantee that serious international companies will bring their operations to the country due to the constant lack of legal security that has prevailed since the arrival of 21st-century socialism. It doesn't deliver justice, but rather administers judicial favors. It's laughable that these same people said before January 3rd that not a single drop of oil would go to the United States, and now they're aligning themselves with the American government. The governor of Barinas must be turning in his grave.
