Today is the day to head to Chamonix, nestled in the shadow of Mont Blanc. But the fantastic weather and scenery of Le Monétier in the French Alps keep me captivated. Briançon, located at the highest point in France, was a treasure trove, still retaining its medieval charm. Amidst a sense of regret, I bid farewell to Galibier once more. It feels like it's time to leave. Arriving at Chamonix, where I had only hoped for Mont Blanc, I found it a charming, cozy city. I'm so grateful to Saussure and Balmat for introducing Chamonix and Mont Blanc to the world. Now, to greet Mont Blanc, I board the cable car and ascend through the clouds. Mont Blanc, seen from the Aiguille du Midi observatory... Wow!!!
